Raise your hand if you looked in the mirror one day and realized—I mean finally admitted—that you were no longer young. You’d noticed the new wrinkles and gray hairs, but the prospect of growing old hadn’t really hit you. Until that sudden confrontation with the mirror.
When you have that “aha moment” with the mirror, you have embarked on your next frontier—learning to age with purpose and vitality. As we age, we have the opportunity, if we have health and income, to live with purpose—to make a difference. I’m here to say that life can get better as you age, especially if you redefine retirement to be the beginning of a reinvented, more balanced, and richer life.
